Kimberly Poswal – Legal Director
•(Legal Director) Kimberly Poswal graduated from the University Of Illinois College Of Law with a focus on criminal law. Kimberly Poswa is an assistant Public Defender at the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender.
•Prior to her joining the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender in May 2014, she worked as an assistant public defender for the Office of the Will County Public Defender for over a year. While at the Office of the Will County Public Defender, she represented juvenile defendants in juvenile criminal proceedings in addition to adults in adult criminal court and parents in abuse and neglect proceedings. Kimberly has extensive courtroom experience including representation of clients for motions, bench trials, and jury trials.
•Also currently she serves as an adjunct professor for the Criminal Justice Department of Aurora University and teaches graduate and undergraduate level criminal justice courses including criminal law and ethics and diversity in criminal justice.
